To celebrate Free coffee weeks at McDonald’s, we surprised commuters with street teams pouring free cups of McCafe at transit stations across the region. With the launch of the McDonald’s Monopoly game, we gave "free parking" for shoppers in one of the busiest downtown shopping districts on launch day. What did it all add up to? A sustained lift in sales at the end of both promotions and 1,500 mentions from delightfully surprised consumers on twitter.
